It has been announced that our Provincial Delegate for Australia, Br. Joseph Wood OFM Conv. has been assigned to a new position as the Novice Director for the English speaking conference of the Order. The Novitiate is currently located in Arroyo Grande, California, in the United States. Br. Joseph has been the Provincial Delegate for the past two and a half years and has contributed much to the development and improvement of our Australian Delegation of Our Lady Help of Christians. Br. Joseph has always tried to play a quiet role behind the scenes, but he has certainly made a big impact to many, especially to the parishioners of St. Mark’s, Dingley Village, VIC, where he has been based.
As a Friary Community we will miss his great knowledge and enthusiasm for everything Franciscan and the lovely witness he gives as a Religious Brother.
We congratulate too Fr. Benedict La Volpe OFM Conv. who has been appointed as the new Provincial Delegate to Australia, but will also remain as the Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s, Springvale, VIC. Fr. Paschal Corby OFM Conv. will assume responsibility as Delegation Treasurer. We wish all these friars every grace and blessing in their new positions within the Order and assure them of our prayers.
